Evergreen Air and Space Museum

For Rieve's big Christmas present, we spent a day at the beach hunting for rocks. It was a beautiful day and we found some incredible rocks, including fossilized clam shells. The kids had a blast and the weather made for a nice shot of Taevin in the tall grass.
We started our hunt by digging in the banks next to the beach. Although some of the rocks we found here were unusual, we had better luck simply looking through washed up rocks further down the beach.
Rhett and Taevin enjoyed the air museum and it was a good thing he wanted to be carried as much as he did. There certainly was a lot to get into trouble there with if he had been able to run around. This picture shows the immense size of the tail wing of the Spruce Goose in the background. What a place!
We visited Evergreen Museum in McMinnville in December and were amazed!!!! Although I was in awe of all the aircraft and history, the twins wanted to try out every airplane seat there (at least 100). They were fascinated with the seat belts and the tray tables. Oh, the mysteries of life.

And finally . . . welcome Baby Chase! Rhett's brother, Jay, and his wife, Natalie, welcomed their little one on January 11th. From what we hear, he is a healthy and big baby boy. Congratulations!
