Thank you!

Last Saturday, some of our team walked in our annual March for Babies. I am so appreciative of all of the support. Thank you to Stephanie, Jenni, Danielle, and Carlton for walking with my family. Thank you to Stephanie L. for helping out at the event by decorating strollers and highlighting the family team tent.

On the fundraising side, I am so delighted to share I exceeded my goal and raised over $1500 this year! Our team is well on its way to meeting the goal of $5000, as we already have over $4000. Way to go!

MOD Bombardment

Because I love to see money donated to my March for Babies campaign, I decided to post again about it.
Here goes:

Numbers are always important. Whether you are talking about those in your wallet, or those on a scale, numbers matter.
In my life, I have come across some significant numbers. I would like to share them with you.

3 - how many children I have been blessed with(at the beach hunting for rocks)
9 - how many days I spent on bed rest in the hospital before the twins were born
28 - number of weeks I carried the twins before our emergency c-section (40 weeks is full-term)
57 - number of days Denavae spent in the NICU
(Denavae in February 2012, can you believe she is 6 now?)

66 - number of days Rieve spent in the NICU
(Rieve in February, boy has he come along way)
> 1,000 - amount of dollars you have given to my March for Babies campaign every year for the past 4 years

13,000,000 - number of children born prematurely worldwide every year
(Rieve at 3 days old, too small to survive without intense help)

Once again, I am asking for your support in my March for Babies campaign. If you can, consider joining my team and marching on April 28th. If you cannot join us, please consider making a donation to help March of Dimes (my website is below if you prefer to donate online). I saw a bumper sticker the other day that resonated with me. It said, "If you want to find a cure, fund research." The money you donate will help find a "cure" to prematurity and birth defects.

I would love to share more of my story with you, or answer any questions you might have.

Thank you for your support.

Easter

My sister, Shaney, and her kids, Kylie and Jordan, joined us at Aunt Judy's house for Easter brunch and egg hunt. This may be the only picture we have together.
The Tulip Fest in Monitor is spectacular every year. The kids enjoy the activities and I love the photo ops. And, the weather cooperated this year!
Taevin was not sure about sticking his head through a piece of wood, but the twins hammed it up. I love my kids.

Thank you for your March for Babies support. I am closing in on my goal, but still need a little more money. 15 days until the walk, can I make it????? With your donations: Yes I can!

It's April

I am so thankful to the support of my friends and family as I work to raise funds for March of Dimes. Rhett's family has been incredible with over $200 contributed. Wow! Yesterday I delivered the tulips, another fundraiser, and raised $150. I am well on my way to reaching my goal of $1200 this year. It means more than you know.
April is here, as is the rain. However, we have sun breaks today and expect mostly sun over the weekend. The tulip festival is happening in Monitor. I hope we will get out there before the rain returns. It is a spectacular site and everyone should visit some time in their lives.
I have today off of school to honor Good Friday. Rhett is in Anchorage meeting his nephew for the first time. I hope someone sends back pictures.
Hope everyone reading this is doing well.
